It is located on 140 km distanse from Belgrade, in vally of mountains Jelica, Ovcar, Kablar and Vujna. Trough the middle of community of Čačak flows the river Zapadna Morava. Clima is moderate-continental with gradual transition of season. First mention of Slavs on this arrea datted from XII century. In this period, in fortness Gradac was duke Stratimir, older brother of Stefan Nemanja. Particular place in cultural inheritance capture churches and monasteries.
